What is physical therapy?

is a program of treatments, exercise, and education
developed for your specific needs to help you regain strength and increase
mobility.

Candidates are,
but not limited to, people with:

and foot problems
¤ Sprains and strains of all joints
¤ Sciaticia/piriformis syndrome

¤ Elbow pain, including lateral and
medical epicondylitis
¤ Neurological impairments
¤ Gait abnormalities
¤ Vestibular balance disorders

limited to:
¤ Rotator
cuff repair

joint replacement
¤ Video arthroscopy of shoulders and

Our program begins with:
You meeting one-on-one with a licensed Physical
Therapist to determine
your treatment recommendations and goals in conjunction with your
referring physician's order.
A personalized program of exercise and/or treatment is developed
to meet your specific needs. The carefully monitored program may
include the following:
¤ Hands-on
manual therapy
¤
Therapeutic
exercise
¤
Modalities,
such as:
¤
Ultrasound
¤
Electrical stimulation
¤ Hot/Cold packs
¤ Paraffin
You will also receive a home exercise program developed to complement
the rehabilitation sessions.
Getting started
is easy. All we need is a referral/order along with a history and
physical from your physician.
Your first
visit will be an evaluation by a licensed Physical Therapist.
You will need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. We will be
assessing your specific needs to develop your individualized treatment
program. Please allow at least one hour for your first visit.
Insurance coverage:
Outpatient Physical Therapy is a benefit that is covered by
specific insurance plans and Medicare.
